SPARROWS GREEN PITCH DEVELOPMENT PROJECT - £39,620 raised so far, please help raise the remaining £2,380
17 Jan 2011
WUJFC is a real success story and we know from many parents and players that it gives great enjoyment to our young footballers. The club has grown year on year and currently has over 210 players running 17 registered teams. This season we have
four
11-a-side teams, from September 2011 that increases to
seven
teams.
In order to support this increase WUJFC needs to undertake a major pitch development project starting in April/May this year. This is a vital investment for the club - we have already negotiated a 25-year agreement on the back pitches with the Parsh Council and a substantially reduced fee for the proposed work of £41,000, including vat.
HARD FACTS:
we currently have three 11-a-side pitches, only two of which conform to FA regluations on size, one of which at Sparrows has drainage and uneven surface problems.
The finances of the club do not cover the project and obtaining grants is proving difficult.
The consequences of not undertaking the project this Spring will result in the club not being able to support these 7 teams, which will then have a knock-on effect down through the club.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT IN ONE OF THREE WAYS:
Capital Bond
- you could pay your annual fees up front (a minimum of 2 seasons) as a one-off payment and avoid the registration fee or any increase in subscription fees
WUJFC Stakeholder -
make an interest-free loan in excess of £1,000 and the club will over time reimburse you
A Donation
- make a donation however big or small. The club can get 28p back from the taxman for every £1 and if you pay higher rate tax, you also get relief.
Additionally, if you know of anyone or a business who would be interested in supporting this project financially, or would like any further information, please contact one of the working party members:
Keith Curtis (Project Leader) - krjmcurtis@btinternet.com
David Kersse (Treasurer) - david.kersse@onetel.net
Tim Ansteee (Club Secretary) - tim@starmediaservices.co.uk
Please support the continuing development of the club and it's excellent reputation!
Thank you.
