A REVIEW OF 2017-18 ...
Wadhurst Junior FC had another successful season with all teams full to capacity and waiting lists on most mini teams. The Club registered 16 teams in the Crowborough League, with an u16's team entering the Weald of Kent Friendly League and an u12's team in the Rother & District League, plus a very healthy u5/u6s group with almost 30 players.
The Club has again maintained its Charter Standard Status and has further increased the number of Level 1 coaches.
The Easter, Whitsun and Summer football courses - the latter summer course including a trip to the Amex Stadium at Brighton - were well attended. A Club Tour didn't take place this season, but teams entered local summer tournaments.
Highlights from the season included:
u16's team winning the Crowborough League Cup Final for a third season running;
u12 Titans winning the Rother League Cup Final;
u16's Weald of Kent team winning the Sportsmanship Award;
u13's runners-up in the B division, winners of the League Spring Trophy Event and Plate winners at Pembury tournment;
u10's Plate winners at Pembury Tournament
u12 Titans runners up in their division
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE 2018-19 SEASON ...
Wadhurst JFC is an FA Charter Standard Club, a supporter of the FA Respect Campaign and is proud to have been awarded the FA Respect County Fair Play Award for the 2010-11 Season. We are a local football club and aim to provide football at a variety of levels for our members in a structured, safe and enjoyable environment, welcoming both boys and girls.
This season we will be providing football coaching and matches for approximately 250 members, with 15 teams registered in the Crowborough League, from u7s to u18s, an u17 team in the Weald of Kent Friendly League and an u14 (u13s playing up) team in the Rother League. We also provide training for up to 30 players at u5/u6 (Reception and Year 1).
All our Coaches are volunteers and are minimum Level 1 qualified with the associated First Aid, Safeguarding and CRC requirements. All parent helpers and first aiders also hold a current CRC.
The Club runs several Football Courses each year at Easter, Whitsun and during the Summer holidays, open to members and non-members, which are advertised on the club website once organised.
The Club would not exist without the many volunteer coaches, parent helpers, committee members, Saturday helpers, referees and Sponsors, so a big 'thank you' to all those who come forward and become involved in the club. We are always looking for more volunteers, particularly Level 1 coaches, or those interested in doing their Level 1 which the Club will support, so please let us know if you are interested.
Registrations for next season are now available and should be submitted by 1st July, at which point we can offer places to those on the waiting list if available. Please note that as a village club, priority for places, particularly in the Minis section, is given to those who live in Wadhurst or already have a sibling in the Club.
The Club is looking for further players for next season for their u13 team playing Sundays in the Crowborough League and u13 team playing up to u14s in the Rother League on a Saturday.
We are also looking for a Level 1 coach interested in coaching the u5/6 group next season and for someone to provide goalkeeper training on a Saturday morning at Sparrows Green Recreation Ground.
If you would like any further information about the Club, please contact: email@example.com for further information.
