FA Charter Standard demonstrates that we have achieved FA criteria regarding Codes of Conduct & FA Respect, Safeguarding and coaches with minimum FA Level 1.
A REVIEW OF 2019/2020 ...
For the 2019/20 season Wadhurst Junior FC entered 14 teams into the Crowborough League and 1 team in the Rother Youth League, with a healthy group of u5/u6 players and maintained its Charter Standard Status.
The Club introduced 'Girls only' football training with a good uptake and were planning to launch as an 'FA Wildcats Centre' in May which has been put on hold for the moment.
The season will be remembered as a challenging one due to the extremely wet weather and the abrupt end to the season due to Covid-19, ending the opportunity for teams to finish the season, attend summer tournaments and another Holland Tour. However, grassroots football is now back in action and we are looking forward to a new season.
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE 2020-2021 SEASON ...
Wadhurst JFC is an FA Charter Standard Club, a supporter of the FA Respect Campaign and is proud to have been awarded the FA Respect County Fair Play Award for the 2010-11 Season. We are a local football club and aim to provide football at a variety of levels for our members in a structured, safe and enjoyable environment, welcoming both boys and girls from U5's to U18's.
This season we will be providing football coaching and matches for approximately 200 members, with 15 teams entering the Crowborough League from u7s to u18s. We also provide training for players at U5/U6 (Reception and Year 1).
We will continue to offer and hopefully grow the 'Girls only' football training oportunities.
All coaches are minimum Level 1 qualified with the associated First Aid, Safeguarding and DBS requirements. All parent helpers and first aiders also hold a current DBS.
The Club would not exist without the many volunteer coaches, parent helpers, committee members, Saturday helpers, referees and Sponsors, so a big 'thank you' to all those who come forward and become involved in the club. We are always looking for more volunteers, particularly Level 1 coaches, or those interested in doing their Level 1 which the Club will support, so please let us know if you are interested.
As a village club, priority for places, particularly in the Minis section, is given to those who live in Wadhurst, adjoining villages or already have a sibling in the Club.
We currently have space in the following age groups for new players for the coming season:
U9's (yr4); U10's (yr5); U14's (yr9); U11's (yr6) and U18's (yrs 12&13)
LEVEL 1 COACHES
The Club relies on volunteer coaches to run it's teams and we are always looking for more coaches, male or female, who are interested in helping out or becoming involved. As a Charter Standard Club we have certain requirements to meet and without further coaches coming forward we are unable to run teams and/or increase the number of players to whom we are able to offer football. If this is something you would be interested in, or would like to do your FA Level 1 qualification, we can support you with this - minimum age is 16 - please contact us to discuss further.
If you would like any further information about the Club, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
