U7 Team @ Dunton Green Pre-Season Tournament
A REVIEW OF 2018-19 ...
Wadhurst Junior FC had another successful season with all teams full to capacity and waiting lists on most mini teams. The Club registered 15 teams in the Crowborough League, with an u17's team entering the Weald of Kent Friendly League and an u14's team in the Rother & District League, plus a very healthy u5/u6s group with almost 30 players.
The Club has maintained its Charter Standard Status and has further increased the number of Level 1 coaches.
The Club once again hosted football courses at Easter, Whitsun and Summer and a well attended and successful Club Tour to Holland at the end of May bringing home some silverware. Summer tournaments were entered by most teams.
Highlights from the season included:
u18's team reaching the Crowborough League Cup Final;
u14 Titans reaching the Rother League Cup Semi Final;
u12's winning a Sportsmanship Award;
u14's runners-up in the A division
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE 2019-20 SEASON ...
Wadhurst JFC is an FA Charter Standard Club, a supporter of the FA Respect Campaign and is proud to have been awarded the FA Respect County Fair Play Award for the 2010-11 Season. We are a local football club and aim to provide football at a variety of levels for our members in a structured, safe and enjoyable environment, welcoming both boys and girls.
This season we will be providing football coaching and matches for approximately 230 members, with 14 teams entering the Crowborough League, from u7s to u18s and an u15s (u14s playing up) team in the Rother League. We also provide training for up to 30 players at u5/u6 (Reception and Year 1).
All our Coaches are volunteers and are minimum Level 1 qualified with the associated First Aid, Safeguarding and DBS requirements. All parent helpers and first aiders also hold a current DBS.
The Club runs several Football Courses each year at Easter, Whitsun and during the Summer holidays, open to members and non-members, which are advertised on the club website once organised.
The Club would not exist without the many volunteer coaches, parent helpers, committee members, Saturday helpers, referees and Sponsors, so a big 'thank you' to all those who come forward and become involved in the club. We are always looking for more volunteers, particularly Level 1 coaches, or those interested in doing their Level 1 which the Club will support, so please let us know if you are interested.
Registrations for next season are now available and should be submitted by 1st July, at which point we can offer any available places to those on the waiting list. Please note that as a village club, priority for places, particularly in the Minis section, is given to those who live in Wadhurst or already have a sibling in the Club.
LEVEL 1 COACHES
The Club relies on volunteer coaches to run it's teams and we are always looking for more coaches, male or female, who are interested in helping out or getting involved. As a Charter Standard Club we have certain requirements to meet and without further coaches coming forward we are unable to run teams and/or increase the number of players to whom we are able to offer football. If this is something you would be interested in, or would like to do your FA Level 1 qualification, we can support you with this - minimum age is 16 - please contact us to discuss further.
If you would like any further information about the Club, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
