Match Report - 08 Mar 2008, Wadhurst United Junior Football Club Team not current lost to Tunbridge Wells Foresters

Mars 0-3, 1,1
Mars lost their first match 3-0 although our defenders were playing very well, and cleared a lot of shots. We had a few shots but missed. We played quite well in midfield and attack, but just couldn’t get into our stride, unlike the second match … Mars got off to a good start in the second match, which we should have won. Foresters had 3or 4 attacks, but we had them under pressure all the way though the game. The whole team played well together. We kept our shape and it showed. The final result was 1-1.

Angus was brilliant in goal in both matches and won ‘man of the match’ .

Mercury 1-6, 2-1
In the first match the score was Foresters 6 Wadhurst 1, our goal was from a corner which James took. Harry was at the front of goal and it skimmed off his foot into the top corner. In the second game it was 2-1 to Wadhurst. The first goal Toby chipped it over the defender's leg onto me and I fired into the bottom corner. The secong goal Sam took a goal kick, out to Joe, He ran down the right and took a brilliant shot, which ended up in the top left hand corner.
