Match Report - 20 Sep 2009, Wadhurst United Junior Football Club Team not current lost to Jarvis Brook A

Wadhurst fc vs Jarvis Brook
First half was a great half with a stunner of a goal from Sam Steward after 5 mins.
It was 3-1 to wadhurst at half time. but.... second half two goals conceded in quick sucsession then it was 3-3 but Jarvis Brook just got one last goal making it 4-3 to Jarvis Brook.
Sam Harvey Captain

This was one of the best team performances from the U12's in a thrilling cup tie away to a team who had beed relegated from the top flight last season into the division above us.

After 10 mins Wadhurst were rampant at 0 2 and a half time score of 1 3 was a fair reflection of the match.

The first five mins of the second half left us stunned at 3 3 as JB started to play fliud football on a large pitch. Wadhurst will learn from this poor period of play, the team needed to come to together and fight back. They did this from the back with a magical display in goal by Philip, man of the match, never ever giving up. This strengthen our back four who worked well as a unit with Ben playing rightback for the first time ever...

Wadhurst came close to scoring again and again. Both teams looked spent and eventually the stronger team scored and won.

Well done to everyone and good luck to JB in the next round.
