Match Report - 07 Mar 2009, Wadhurst United Junior Football Club Team not current beat Jarvis Brook
Wanderers (3-0 and 1-0)
2 solid wins with goals form Ben, Olly and Louis.
It was the disciplined defending which was key to these victories. JJ and Freddie took turns in the role of last defender and both stopped Jarvis Brook attacks before they got anywhere near our goal.
Ben and Sam worked hard to win the ball in and around their penalty box which led to two of the goals. Louis 's dribbly runs and the supporting play by Henry, Frankie and Olly who never gave up chasing the ball meant most of the game was played in their half.
Overall a great team effort with fantastic defending and had we taken half the chances we created it would be a rugby score.
Both teams played as a team and every parent of the players should be very proud of the way they played for each other and the way the conducted themselves both during and after the match.
Roll on the next game at Ashurst Wood on 28 March.
