A REVIEW OF 2014-15 ...

Wadhurst JFC had another successful season with all teams full to capacity and waiting lists on most mini teams.  The Club registered 17 teams in the Crowborough League, with one team entering the Kent Youth League and Rother & District League, plus a very healthy u5/u6s group with almost 30 players.

The Club has again maintained its Charter Standard Status and has a record 32 x Level 1 and 2 x Level 2 qualified coaches this season, plus 7 players from our u16s team gaining their Level 1 in March.

The Easter, Whitsun and Summer football courses were well attended and the Club embarked on its third ‘International’ Tour to Holland.

All teams produced some excellent and entertaining football throughout the season with several of our teams receiving League Sportsmanship Awards and our u16s team winning the League Cup Final and the u14 Kent Youth Team winning the Sussex County Cup.

LOOKING AHEAD TO THE 2015-16 SEASON ...

Wadhurst JFC is an FA Charter Standard Club, a supporter of the FA Respect Campaign and is proud to have been awarded the FA Respect County Fair Play Award for the 2010-11 Season.  We are a local football club and aim to provide football at a variety of levels for our members in a structured, safe and enjoyable environment, welcoming both boys and girls.

This season we will be providing football coaching and matches for approximately 280 members, with 19 teams registered in the Crowborough League, from u7s to u18s, an u14 team in the Rother League and an u15 team continuing with the Kent Youth League.  We also provide training for up to 30 players at u5/u6 (Reception and Year 1).  This is the most teams the Club has registered and will be the first season that Wadhurst has run two u18 teams.

All our Coaches are volunteers and are minimum Level 1 qualified with the associated First Aid, Safeguarding and CRB requirements.  All parent helpers and first aiders are also CRB’d.

The Club will continue to provide Goalkeeper training with Callum Christie on a Saturday morning.  We also run several Football Courses each year at Easter, Whitsun and during the Summer holidays, open to members and non-members.

The Club would not exist without the many volunteer coaches, parent helpers, committee members, Saturday helpers, referees and Sponsors, so a big 'thank you' to all those who come forward and become involved in the club.  We are always looking for more volunteers, so please come forward if you would like to become involved.

PLAYER REGISTRATIONS

All our Mini teams (u6s to u10s) are now full for this season and waiting lists are currently in operation for these age groups.  Please note that as a local club, priority for places, particularly in the Minis section, is given to those who live in Wadhurst or already have a sibling in the Club.

We still have places available for the new season in the u11s (playing Saturdays) and the u12s and u15s (playing Sundays).

The u18 teams are also looking for additional players for their squads, including a Goalkeeper.   If you are interested in joining any of our teams please contact: trudi.oneill@homecall.co.uk for further information.
