A REVIEW OF 2013-14 ...
Wadhurst JFC has had another successful season with all teams full to capacity and waiting lists on most mini teams. The Club registered 17 teams in the Crowborough League, with one team entering the Kent Youth League, and a very healthy u5/u6s group with almost 30 players.
this seasons incredibly wet weather, with Sparrows being unplayable for
almost 3 months, the Club continued to provide weekly training by
hiring facilities at Uplands Sports Centre and 3G pitches to ensure training and
matches went ahead.
The Club has again maintained its Charter Standard Status and has a record 28 x Level 1 and 2 x Level 2 qualified coaches this season, with further volunteers helping with training and first aid within their teams.
The Easter and World Cup football courses were well attended and the Club embarked on its second ‘International’ Tour to Holland (the u15s team above celebrating their win), with the Club then hosting RCSV Zestienhoven from Holland, at Sparrows Green early in June. All teams produced some excellent and entertaining football throughout the season with our u10s, u11s and u14s teams
receiving League Sportsmanship Awards.
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE 2014-15 SEASON ...
Wadhurst JFC is an FA Charter Standard Club, a supporter of the FA Respect Campaign and is proud to have been awarded the FA Respect County Fair Play Award for the 2010-11 Season. We are a local football club and aim to provide football at a variety of levels for our members in a structured, safe and enjoyable environment, welcoming both boys and girls.
This season we will be providing football coaching and matches for approximately 280 members, with 16 teams registered in the Crowborough League, from u7s to u18s, an u13 team in the Rother League and an u14 team continuing with the Kent Youth League. We also provide training for up to 30 players at u5/u6 (Reception and Year 1).
All our Coaches are volunteers and are minimum Level 1 qualified with the associated First Aid, Safeguarding and CRB requirements. All parent helpers and first aiders are also CRB’d.
The Club will continue to provide in-house Goalkeeper training and also runs several Football Courses each year at Easter,
Whitsun and during the Summer holidays, open to members and non-members.
The Club would not exist without the many volunteer coaches, parent helpers, committee members, Saturday helpers, referees and Sponsors, so a big 'thank you' to all those who come forward and become involved in the club. We are always looking for more volunteers, so please come forward if you would like to become involved.
We are currently registering players for next season and are looking for additional players in the following age groups (teams as at 2014-15 season):
u9s, u11s, u13s, u14s (crowborough league) and u18s (u17s & u18s).
If you are interested in joining any of these age groups or would like further information, please contact Trudi O'Neill in the first instance - firstname.lastname@example.org, 01892 783573. We welcome enquiries regarding the other age groups, although some do have waiting lists.
