Match Report - 25 Nov 2007, Wadhurst United Junior Football Club Team not current lost to Ringmer Rovers
This was one of those matches where the score is a poor indicator of how the match went. Ringmer certainly deserved the win but I think that they would agree that the margin of the victory was very flattering.
Sadly Wadhurst were undone in the first 15 mins of the game being five down at this point with every Ringmer move seeming to lead inevitably to a goal. At last we kicked into life and matched Ringmer for the remainder of the half. The half-time score was 6-1, Michael scoring our goal and there was a feeling that the deficit could be eroded in the second half. The second half began with another from Michael and although a quick Ringmer reply ended thoughts of a remarkable comeback, the teams remained evenly matched, with no further goals, until there were ten minutes remaining. At this stage Ringmer's superior fitness showed through and they added another three to their score without reply.
