Match Report - 20 Oct 2007, Wadhurst United Junior Football Club Team not current beat Old Town Boys
Mars had a brilliant start to their first game, with Luke, Dan and Masha working well together. Henry and Ed were solid in the back throughout the whole game. Masha scored a great goal from a free kick near the halfway line. Old Town Boys stepped up a gear in the second half and scored the equaliser in the last few minutes. The second game saw a hard battle for Mars with Old Town Boys playing one of their best players. Masha moved back into defense helping Ed to cut out their key striker. After and exhausting 30 mins Mars were unlucky to come out 3-2.
Mercury won a tight first game 2-0, thanks to two goals on his debut from James Maddison, but it was a total team performance to keep a clean sheet against a strong team.
The second game was perhaps the performance of the season by Mercury, a tight first half saw us take a 1-0 lead, but the team completely dominated the opposition from front to back in the second and scored 4 good goals.
