Match Report - 11 Dec 2011, Wadhurst United Junior Football Club Team not current beat Little Common

A well deserved 3 points with a much improved performance; playing like a team, better communication, heads up looking for the pass. Even the wet and muddy pitch did not stop the boys from passing their way to victory.

The movement up front from Louis and Woody constantly cut the Little Common defence apart and it was surprising that we only had a Louis goal to show from a dominant first half, the only criticism being the wasteful finishing. The defence always looked strong with full backs Harvey and Carlin always looking to overlap and in midfield Callum and Ross were running the show.

The second half started well with Louis claiming his second within a minute of the restart, and shortly after Ross was on hand to score the third. By now it was pretty much one way traffic and I don't think Luke was called upon to make a save of note. James came on for Murrie and Sam E replaced Carlin as Wadhurst looked to press forward. Sam F cracked in the 4th and super sub Dom, on for Louis, hit the 5th. However, the best was saved for last as great build up play saw Sam F with his third assist of the game, cross from the left for Woody to run in to score his first for the club - cue jubilant celebrations.

The win keeps Wadhurst in second place in the A Division, and another clean sheet keeps the Manager happy! MotM goes to Louis for his running up front and constant chasing the ball down, although all the lads deserve credit for this performance.
