Match Report - 06 Nov 2011, Wadhurst United Junior Football Club Team not current beat Ashurst Wood

Wadhurst were made to work hard for the victory today but in the end dominated the game and could, or should, have scored more, especially second half. Defensively we looked strong again but had to be on our toes as Ashhurst Wood constanstly hit quick long balls for their forwards to run on to. Sam Evans came in at right back today and Tim started upfront.

We have been slow in starting in recent weeks but an early goal from Callum settled the team down when he tapped in from a corner. Ross J followed up shortly after with a similar goal. We appeared tired in midfield today and the wide players weren't tracking back as usual. Consequently we made three changes at half time with Louis, Dom and James replacing Tim, Sam F and Ross J.

Shortly after the break we scored the best goal of the game when Louis finished off a superb passing move from one end of the pitch to the other. Dom looked lively and combined well with Carlin down the left and they were always a threat. Louis added his second but for the last 20 mins we wasted a number of chances.

Luke didn't have much to do in goal as Mike and Jake were again dominating at center back and MotM went to Sam Evans for an excellent performance at right back.
