Match Report

Match Report - 04 Oct 2009, Wadhurst United Junior Football Club Team not current beat Langton Green

A game of two halfs and not a lot of sleep the night before this fixture..

A couple of large parties and sleep overs resulted in a sleepy start to wadhurst's second visit to sunny Langton, we were roundly beaten two seasons ago.

The morning was set fine but the coaches were frustarated with the first half performance, that said wadhurst lead at HT 1.3 Sam Steward cont to bag goals with a lovely left footed looping volley from outside the penalty box. Langton draw level with a good srike on 16 mins. Sam Harvey, playing in midfield again worked his socks off and bagged two good goals...we still looked asleep.

The half time team talk was blue and strained, not helped by the management's parties the night before.

The second half was a blur of talent, the fitter team used the width and stretched a beaten langton green, who cont. to play well, their goalie was ammazing.

Jo Seakins and Jamie Morris look like they have played in the centre of defence for a long time..Jo's timimg and vision was fantastic. Jamie pushed forward and almost scored a couple himself.

Fred, Harry Turner and Harry wilson dominated the right wing, supplying our strikers. Fred became cheeky with the score at 1 .6 and bagged the last two goals for himself, great to see at last.

Ben continues to shine in any position..

Sam Harvey bagged four, Fred two, sam s and Ben one each.

Great team effort lead by our vocal captain KJ, man of the match Jo/Jamie the foundations to our growing team.
