Match Report - 28 Feb 2009, Wadhurst Junior Football Club Under 14's beat Ashurst Wood
The match started with Ashurst Wood playing downhill, and we were first to the ball. Sam Harvey ran up the pitch and scored. Our confidence fell when they scored an equaliser making it 1-1. We were finding it hard to pass to each other, and to get through their defence despite good effort and shots at goal from Sam Steward and Kieran Johnson, and our defence struggled to keep them off and they scored again.
However, another goal by Fred McIndoe, and at 2 -2, a fantastic long range shot from Kieran was the decider. In the second half, going downhill, we regained some confidence and had more attempts at goal and more corners. Jonathan Seakins and Jake Clifton, goalies in each half, made some brave saves, and Jamie Morris was man of the match with his strong defending.
